This is the protein sequence evolutionary tree from Jalview. We could not find kale in the protein database, so we used wild cabbage, which was the closest plant we could find to it. From this, we can conclude that the wild cabbage and tomato are closely related, but the tomato is more related to the cherry than the cabbage is.
